| I'm trying to remember a (space?) movie with 'Houston/NASA type' terminals where someone is covertly helping the hero (stopping the baddy?) and then is discovered and asked to step away from the terminal at gunpoint. | Answer |
| I am looking for the title of a movie, probably from the 60's or maybe early 70's. All I can remember is that during the film (maybe the beginning) there was a scene where several children had a huge gun battle with toy guns firing plastic bullets. | This movie is set in the eighties, probably made in the nineties. The two main characters are girls who reunite after some time. They keep quoting and referring to the Bronte sisters. One of the girls fall for a guy who wears a Smiths t-shirt. The setting is gloomy and in the UK. The copy I saw had "demo copy not for resell" scrolling on it. | I'm looking for the name of a Christmas special. It was a Claymation I saw in the 90s, but it may be older than that. It had something to do with a meeting with fairies in the woods, and there's a guy there that takes them flying around. Sorry so vague; any help would be greatly appreciated. | Answer |
| Trying to figure out what I saw on TV the other day. I get to see what my neighbors are watching since our cable seems to keep getting mixed up with theirs. Anyway, there was a blond lady, about upper 30's, who somehow gets trapped in a house near a lake. She's dressed like she's on an Australian safari or something, then out of nowhere there's also a man in the house. Well, they both see they're dopplegangers (but this movie is not Doppleganger). The woman's doppleganger chases her into the closet and she runs out of the house. The man comments on how when you see your doppleganger it means you're going to die. The house starts to shake and everything cleans itself up and goes back to normal. And that's all I saw because the neighbors changed the channel to porno. | I'm trying to recall the name of a TV show I watched when I was little. I think it was a kid's show; I seem to remember funny skits or cartoons and in between was a little song with the lines "Bibbity bobbity, that makes good sense, good old nonsense!" and "Pennies are pence to me." | I am looking for a film made I would say either in the 1930s or the 1940s. A wealthy man courts a girl and then marries her. Sometime afterwards he loses his wealth. He is reduced to wearing old clothes and living a life he is not used to. At one stage he even asks the girl (who is now in some show) for money. | I saw a movie at school in the 1980's in which the main character is a bank robber. There is a cop or Fed on his trail for years. This man finally turns his life around and settles down in a small town. But, the cop shows up on the same day a child gets trapped in an airtight bank vault, that will be unopenable for days. If he saves her the cop will know who he is, but he cracks it open and saves the girl anyway. It's NOT "No Deposit, No Return". In the movie I'm looking for: there was no kidnapping in the movie, the movie took place over years, it was a drama not a comedy. Does anyone know the name of this movie? | Answer |
| There was a 60's or 70's Saturday morning cartoon series about a superhero that was made of weed or grass or something similar. It wasn't controversial because no one caught on to its obvious drug-overtones. The superhero was like "Captain Planet", but it was not "Captain Planet". | Probably early 80's movie that may have starred Kenny Rogers (but not sure). I saw this movie when I was younger but don't remember much about it. There was a boy at a lake that had some fog and an island in the middle of the lake and on the island there were toys (?) that were actually alive. | I am looking for a title of a movie I saw as a teenager some 30 years or more ago. All I can remember is the ending where a character is writing a letter and she dies whilst writing. This image has haunted me for 4 decades and for the life of me I have searched and asked but nothing. From what I can recall (which is scant) is that she was writing her memoirs or a letter recounting her life and love. What was the title? | Answer |
| I only remember one scene from this movie, which I saw in a theater in the late fifties/early sixties. Two cowboys are in a cabin surrounded by bad guys. The older cowboy realizes they are doomed so he digs a trench in the dirt floor and tells the younger cowboy to lie in the trench. He puts a piece of stovepipe in the trench and extends it beyond the foundation so his friend can breathe and then covers him up. The bad guys then torch the cabin and the old guy dies shooting. Since the bad guys thought there was only one man in the cabin they ride away. After the cabin is reduced to smoke the younger man stands up, covered in ashes, and I believe the rest of the movie concerns his attempt to avenge his friend. | I'm trying to track down the name of a movie I remember watching as a child in the 1960s. It was a black and white film that centred around a conundrum, which was a strange name that would lead to the solving of a puzzle (a murder perhaps, I can't quite recall) - thinking about it this predates 'The Usual Suspects' by 50 years. The revelation of the film comes when one of the characters sits by a quayside and notices the name of a small fishing boat in the reflection of the water. This is, indeed, the word that provides the answer to the conundrum. Does anyone have any recollection of this movie? If so, please let me know. | Answer |
| I'm looking for the title of a short lived 80's series. It was a fantasy setting and was basically a dumb jock and a valley girl as a warrior and princess. It was, I think, deliberately cheesy. The only real thing I remember was an episode where the hero and girl spent a day at a haunted castle. The jock/warrior gets spooked and attacks a chair with his sword and then spirits that impersonate the main characters start showing up to frighten them and they have to escape. | Answer |
| I saw a movie probably at least 15 years ago - though it could have been an older movie then. The movie was about a man who time traveled from the future to the present (around the time the movie was made). I don't why he time traveled but while he was there he met his grandfather or great grandfather and ended up helping this man become a hero by gettting him (as he was destined to do in a predestined paradox) to save a bunch of people from a fire. | There are some reality shows, like Trading Spouses, where people win/are given money, but are told to use it for certain things (for example, each family on Trading Spouses has to use the money as instructed by the visiting mother from the other family). Do the shows' creators do anything to make sure that people use the money the way they are told to? | Answer |
| Other than "Duma" (2005), does anyone know if there is another movie about a cheetah named Duma? I saw a movie several years ago, and the only scene I vaguely remember is one guy looking, around sunset, calling out Duma's name to try to get her to come back. | I'm looking for a movie I seen made in the late 80's or early 90's the movie set is mostly in the woods and they have these teams of people who are playing a game and when they get to each mark they have to punch a hole in the thing showing that they been there and towards the end of the movie they have a guy who dresses in a bear suit on a motorcycle to stop some people who I think is trying to take that place from him all I can remember is they had a woman with reddish color hair in it the man looks like Jason Gedrick when he was younger but its not him and at the end of the movie the red hair woman has the bear suit on riding the motorbike? | Answer |
| Does anyone know the name of this black and white movie? A cowboy has himself thrown in jail to help a young man (his son?) escape. The man doesn't want to escape, so the cowboy breaks out and rides off to Canada until the heat dies down. It was a light-hearted movie with a depressing ending: just when he crosses the border, his horse is hit by a car. The police shoot his maimed horse and the film ends with the cowboy being loaded into an ambulance. | Answer |
| I saw this episode of a TV show once, although maybe it was a movie on TV. A woman's mother had been murdered. There were flashbacks that showed the woman as a girl, and her mother was abusive to her. The flashbacks showed the mother threatening to kill the girl's cat (while the girl was sitting at a piano), saying the girl looked like a "fat little pig" in a certain dress, and the girl hiding in a dark room (I think a cellar or garage) while her mother was looking for her. There was also a scene where the adult woman finds a teddy bear that she owned as a child in her mother's house. Does anyone know what TV show or movie this was? | Answer |
