Continuity mistake: Nuclear Man sends the 2 police cars back and the one on the right skids and faces slightly to the right, but a second later, when they explode, both cars are perfectly aligned.

Continuity mistake: While Nuclear Man moves the 2 police cars backwards, the first shot shows the car on the right ahead of the other. A frame later, in a new angle, it is way behind the other car.

Continuity mistake: After the two police cars are sent backwards, a third one that was parked behind, suddenly appears aligned with the other two.

Continuity mistake: When Superman throws the rock into the volcano, it flies from right to left into a huge cloud of smoke. In the following angle, it is falling from the blue clear sky, up away from the smoke.

Continuity mistake: While Nuclear Man is destroying Metropolis, two police cars get moved backwards. The first shot of the cars moving show a lot of people by a shop window. The angle changes to a close shot, with no people there, then back to the previous wide angle, now with the cars moving backwards, and the bunch of people reappear.

Continuity mistake: After the volcano erupts, a big black cloud covers the city, but a wider angle shows the sky clear.

Continuity mistake: Shortage of extras in this film: Inside the UN hall, the arab man that greets Superman is the one that a second before was in the entrance, together with the woman with a pink handkerchief over her head.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the UN sequence, we see a brief outside shot of the real UN building, but the further shots of the fake building have none of the elements from the shot we just saw: Flags, white stone wall.

Continuity mistake: While the crowd follows Superman to the UN, the man with the balloons is first seen far away from him, but half a second later he is very close.

Continuity mistake: During the parade, young Vito sits down with baby Michael. A kid behind plays with a flag and when the angle changes to a close-shot his position and the flag's are totally different.
